The Sweet Adeline of the Year Award for outstanding dedication and contribution to the Grand Rapids Chorus of Sweet Adelines went to Rockford Resident, Wendy Meyers.

This award recognizes her exceptional leadership, commitment, service, creativity, talents and cooperation for her remarkable contribution to the chorus.

“I feel so honored to be seen as a special part of an organization that contains so many fantastic women, with so much talent,” Meyers, who sings baritone with the group, enthused.

Wendy has been a cornerstone of the group, known for her meticulous attention to details, her unwavering support to uplift her fellow chorus members and behind the scenes creativity.  Her dedication and talents have been instrumental in the success and harmony of the group.

Beyond her hard work, Meyers is celebrated for her collaborative spirit.  “I love to follow others who are visionaries,” she said, reflecting her deep appreciation for creativity and leadership within the chorus.  Her willingness to embrace and support innovative ideas has made her a beloved and respected figure amongst her peers.

The Grand Rapids Chorus of Sweet Adelines is an a capella, four-part harmony women’s singing group.  The members range in age from 22-92 and have performed in our community and all over the world.  Their most recent excursions have been at Pearl Harbor and in September, they head to Ireland to perform.
